Purpose
This course provides ARNG enlisted Soldiers with specialized skills, knowledge, and techniques required to perform ARNG URNCO and Career Counselor (Battalion/Unit/Forward Deployed) duties. This course trains and prepares Soldiers in the ARNG to assist commanders by providing retention and attrition management focus within the unit. Soldiers assigned this additional duty will work directly with 79T RRNCOs to support the ARNG Strength Maintenance (SM) mission.

 

Target Audience
ARNG Soldiers, SGT or above, assigned the additional duty of a URNCO or Career Counselor (Battalion/Unit/Forward Deployed).

Course Length is Two Weeks.

Suitability Screening is not Required.

Prerequisites

ARNG enlisted Soldiers, SPC/CPL who have completed the Basic
Leader Course and SGT through MSG/1SG. Soldiers must attend this training within six months of being assigned this additional duty or first available. No waiver authorized.

 
Soldiers are required to upload the following prerequisite documents in SMTB Blackboard NLT 10 Business days prior to the course start date.

Reporting
 
Sunday, May 5th, 2024:  Report to Independence Hall for room assignment. 

Monday, May 6th, 2024 @ 0600hrs: Report for height and weight screening in summer APFU (s/s shirt and shorts)
 with CAC to SGT Young Hall BLDG 3400 Room 103 and 104

The registration desk in Independence Hall does not establish reporting times or locations.
Early arrival requires prior approval by SMTB Leadership.

Enrolling instructions for Blackboard
Log into Black Board:
https://learn.llc.army.mil/
This will take you to the home page. Once there, look for “courses”
across the top of the page.


Click on "Courses"

   
Click on “Browse Course Catalog” 










 
 
Make sure the first selection says "Name"
 Make sure the second selection says “Contains”.
TypeARNG Unit Retention NCO 24-003 into the space provided. 
Click “Go”. 



Click on the down arrow next to the course then Click on "Enroll".






 
 
Type “URNCO24-003" into Access Code and Click "Submit".
The Access Code is Case Sensitive. 

 
The next time you log into Black Board, you will find your course under “My Courses.”
