SMTB Course Requirements

Be prepared to conduct Height and Weight and a record ACFT in week one as it is a graduation requirement for all PME courses. Review ATP 7-22.01 and FM 7-22 prior to the course start. Students are required to conduct physical readiness training (PRT) throughout the course.

 "SMTB Student Guide" for information about Directions To Camp Robinson's Main Gate, Contact Information, Mailing Address/Arrival/Reporting and Departure Procedures, Spouses/Guest, Messages, Medical Care, Billeting/Housekeeping, Dining Facility, Fitness Center, Weapons, Emergency, Financial Matters, Judge Advocacy General (JAG), Rental Cars, Privately Owned Vehicles (POV), Identification, Safety, Classroom Conduct, Fraternization, Required Items, Leave/Pass Policy, PEC Campus Map, and "Packing List" on page 15.

Failure to follow instructions may delay your in-processing and may result in non-enrollment. 

Purpose
Soldiers are awarded the additional skill identifier after this course. The course provides newly assigned or selected for assignment ARNG MEPS GCs with knowledge, skills, and techniques to perform successfully. 

 

Target Audience
ARNG Soldiers who hold the primary MOS 79T in the rank of SSG through MSG. Department of the Army Civilians (DACs) in the grade of GS-6 through GS-12 and selected to fill a Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) position of ARNG MEPS GC are eligible to attend this course. No Waiver/ETP authorized.

Course Length is Two Weeks

Prerequisites 
 
ARNG Soldiers in the rank of SSG through MSG and hold the
primary MOS 79T. All personnel attending the MEPS GC course must complete a minimum of ten working days of training at MEPS before attendance. The training will focus on using the US MEPS Integrated Reservation System (MIRS), processing applicants in Recruiter Zone (RZ), Recruit Quota System (REQUEST), and quality control of enlistment packets. Course attendance is required within six months of assignment or first available.
 
Soldiers are required to upload the following prerequisite documents in "

Recruiter Workstation (RWS)

All RRB personnel attending SMTB courses will utilize their State issued Accession Baseline System (ABS) Recruiter Workstation (RWS).  
   RRB personnel attending SMTB course must have an appropriate RSID and a functional and compliant ABS RWS. The State RWS will be utilized both in the classroom and for homework assignments. Failure to have an ABS RWS on hand will result in the student not being allowed to attend the course. 
  In the event a computer becomes non-compliant or requires maintenance while at SMTB, our IT Section will temporarily issue a student ABS RWS. Our IT staff will reach out to the State Automation NCO and will assist with repairs or remediation as needed.

Reporting
 
Sunday, July 7th, 2024:  Report to Independence Hall for room assignment and in-processing. 

Monday, July 8th, 2024 @ 0600hrs: Report for height and weight screening in summer APFU (s/s shirt and shorts) with CAC to Aleutians Hall BLDG 4403 Room 105

The registration desk in Independence Hall does not establish reporting times or locations.

Log into Black Board:

This will take you to the home page. Once there, look for “courses”
across the top of the page.


Click on "Courses"

   
Click on “Browse Course Catalog” 










 
 
Make sure the first selection says "Name"
 Make sure the second selection says “Contains”.
TypeARNG MEPS Guidance Counselor 24-002 into the space provided. 
Click “Go”. 



Click on the down arrow next to the course then Click on "Enroll".
























 
 
Type “MEPS24-002" into Access Code and Click "Submit".
The Access Code is Case Sensitive. 

 
The next time you log into Black Board, you will find your course under “My Courses.”
