Command Sergeant Major Joshua J. Fassoth is currently serving as the Army National Guard Professional Education Center (PEC) Strength Maintenance Training Battalion (SMTB) Command Sergeant Major at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, since 1 August 2024. 

He enlisted into the Indiana Army National Guard on 29 August 2005 and completed training as a Combat Engineer. His previous assignments include serving in the 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment with the 82nd Airborne Division, the 376th Engineer Company, 2nd Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment at the Indiana Army National Guard, the Indiana Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion, Indiana University ROTC at the Northwest Campus in Gary, Indiana, the United States Army Airborne School at Fort Moore, Georgia, and the United States Army Training Center at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He served as the Team Chief and Operations NCOIC at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NG-PEC), Strength Maintenance Training Battalion at North Little Rock, Arkansas. CSM Fassoth's previous assignment was the ARNG TRADOC Liaison SGM to support the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Moore, GA. 

Command Sergeant Major Fassoth has been mobilized for combat duty for Operation Iraqi Freedom during the first three campaign phases with the 82nd Airborne Division between February 2003 and March 2005. CSM Fassoth's military and civilian education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. CSM Fassoth graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona Global Campus.

Command Sergeant Major Fassoth has been awarded numerous awards and decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal (6th Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (3rd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal 

(2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (3 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2), Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Expert Recruiting and Retention Badge, Army Basic Instructor Badge, Presidential Unit Citation, Valorous Unit Award (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster). CSM Fassoth also holds the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver), and Peruvian Parachute Badge.

CSM Fassoth and his wife of 5 years, Rebecca, have 8 children, Jacob, Jeremiah, Jenna, Jaylyn, Joshua Jr., Stephen, Elizabeth, and Jackson.
