805B-F24, ARNG Unit Retention NCO (URNCO) Course.
     a. Purpose. This course provides ARNG enlisted Soldiers with specialized skills, knowledge, and techniques required to perform ARNG URNCO and Career Counselor (Battalion/Unit/Forward Deployed) duties. This course trains and prepares Soldiers in the ARNG to assist commanders by providing retention and attrition management focus within the unit. Soldiers assigned this additional duty will work directly with 79T RRNCOs to support the ARNG Strength Maintenance (SM) mission.
     b. Prerequisites. ARNG enlisted Soldiers, SPC/CPL who have completed the Basic Leader Course and SGT through MSG/1SG. Soldiers must attend this training within six months of being assigned this additional duty or first available. No Waiver/ETP authorized.
     c. Administrative Requirements. All Soldiers must have an additional duty appointment memorandum that identifies the Soldier as the URNCO or Career Counselor (Battalion/Unit/Forward Deployed).
     d. Target Audience. ARNG Soldiers, SGT or above, assigned the additional duty of a URNCO or Career Counselor (Battalion/Unit/Forward Deployed).
     e. Length. This course is two weeks.
